Commbank Safe Update - May 2023

We are writing to inform you about some important updates that need to be processed by you and your team, before 1 June 2023, for all users of CommBiz NetLock and CommBiz Mobile.

NetLock:
Please speak to IT Department, if you have one, to ensure your computer or network will allow the update to occur.
  1. CommBank is rolling out CommBiz NetLock software and certificate updates between 16 May to 31 May 2023, which will impact you.
  2. The updates will automatically run once you’ve plugged the USB into a port or once you’ve logged into CommBiz. We request that you log-in to CommBiz frequently until you have received these updates and installed them.
  3. The update should take 3-5 minutes depending on your network connection.
  4. These updates will ensure your device is using the latest software and security to protect you while using CommBiz.

The following outlines the steps of your CommBiz Service. We ask all CommBiz users that have a NetLock device action these steps before 1 June 2023:
  1. Insert your NetLock device into your computer. Your NetLock device may update before CommBiz is launched.
  2. Log on with your User ID and Password.
  3. Once logged on, the renewal page will appear. Click Renew now. [Due to system constraints, you may not receive the update upon logging in. Please continue logging in frequently until you have received the update and successfully installed.]
  4. IMPORTANT: Do not eject or unplug the NetLock USB device during the update as this may cause the USB to corrupt.
  5. The renewal update may take between 1 – 10 minutes. Once the renewal is complete, the browser will close.
  6. The User will need to re-launch CommBiz from the NetLock folder and enter in their login credentials again.

CommBiz Mobile App/eTokens:

If you or your team use the CommBiz Mobile App, you may be prompted to delete and re-install the app from 19 May 2023.

  5. The App will update the registration on your phone.
