How does an Administrator set up the Payments Feature
For Community and Group Editions
Accepting
payments through Operoo is very easy. It requires a quick set-up for
your Organisation, and then you can add payment requests to any eForm.
To set up payments, follow these steps:
1. After logging in as the Administrator of your Operoo account, please go to Settings, then select Setup Stripe Payments.
2. A
pop-up window similar to below will appear. This provides a brief
explanation of how the Payment Request works. You can continue setting
up this feature by clicking on Click Here.
3. The next page will connect your Operoo account to your Stripe account.
Connecting Stripe to Operoo
Stripe allows you to change the owner of a stripe account by transferring ownership to someone else and making them super administrator in the process. This would be relevant as adult members move across groups or change positions within the group. For more information regarding this, please visit: https://support.stripe.com/questions/change-the-owner-of-a-stripe-account
To proceed with setup, please see advice below:
Select "create account"
Enter your email address and password
Enter your personal details and mobile number to continue.
You will receive an email to verify the account, which should get you set up once confirmed.
Once you are connected, select "Business Type", "choose individual/Sole Trader", and "I do not have an ABN".
The details provided in this section are for informational purposes for the group and for volunteers. This generally feeds back to the details that would display on the check out page and receipts.
