Setting up Microsoft Teams on your PC/Mac or Mobile Device

Microsoft Teams is an Office 365 suite app free to download from Microsoft Store, the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store. To download from the web, please visit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-teams/download-app

If you already have Microsoft Teams (classic) installed, you can switch to the New Teams when you Toggle on “Try the New Teams” in the upper-left corner of the desktop app.
If you have the new teams on your PC or mobile device, you can now add your work account (Scouts SA MS365 account) to your personal account.
By October 1, 2024 the end of support for Microsoft Teams Classic would take effect. You can find more information here regarding this timeline: End of availability for Classic Teams

To add your Scouts SA MS365 account to your existing account on Teams

  1. When you are signed in to your personal account, select your profile picture in the top right corner of your Teams application.
  2. For mobile devices (Android & iPhone), select your profile picture in the top left corner of the app.
  3. Select "Add another account" for PC, and "Add account" for mobile.
  4. Choose "Create or use another account"
  5. You would get a prompt to enter your Email: membernumber@sa.scouts.com.au and password:_your_new_password. If you have not set up your MS365 account, please see guide here: 

You would get a notification from your multifactor authentication to "Approve sign-in request".
Once that is done, you should be set and ready to go.

For New Users in Teams

Download the latest version of Microsoft Teams from the Microsoft website https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-teams/download-app 


Once the file is downloaded, run the installer.

The Teams installer will complete automatically and will display the login screen when finished.
Enter your MS365 details as follows:
Password: _your_new_password



If you have enabled Two Factor Authentication (2FA) you will be prompted to approve/verify your login. For help on setting up Two Factor Authentication, please refer to the following guide: Enable MultiFactor Authentication
You are now logged into Teams on your PC/Mac - any Teams you are a part of will automatically be displayed.

Setting up Teams on your mobile device - Android or iOS

Access the App or Google Play Store and install teams

Apple App Store



Google Play Store

Once installed, open Teams, you should be brought to the login screen - select Sign In



























Enter your username and password - this is always membernumber@sa.scouts.com.au



If you have enabled Two Factor Authentication (2FA) you will be prompted to approve/verify your login
You are now logged into Teams on your mobile device - any Teams you are a part of will automatically be displayed.
