Microsoft 365 setup for account

Setting up your Scouts SA email on your PC/Mac using Outlook Desktop

Steps for Outlook 2019 or 365 desktop apps

Please note you can no longer connect to an Office 365 Email using Outlook 2016, 2007 or earlier due to its communication protocol reaching end of life support. For more information, please visit End of Life Support for older versions of Outlook
Outlook 2019 usually comes as part of the Office 2019 suite. If you haven't got this installed, please visit your local IT hardware shop for assistance.
Scouts SA non-for profit licensing provides you access to Outlook classic (2019) being one of many other services that comes with our licensing. For access to Microsoft New Outlook (365) desktop version, you would be required to subscribe, however you can access the web version for free by clicking on https://outlook.office.com

If you do not have an email account setup in Outlook, you will be prompted to set up an account at first login. If you already have other email accounts setup in Outlook, you will need to add your Scouts SA account as an additional account.

Activating New MS365 Email Account in Outlook:

This notification would appear during the initial setup process of your Microsoft 365 account.  For guide on how to activate this , please see details on: Setup Two Factor Authentication
