Accessing a shared mailbox in Outlook classic (2019) using advanced settings
Setting up a shared mailbox in the Outlook Web Client
Log into your Microsoft 365 account in outlook using your MS365 email and password for access.
If you do not have an email account setup in Outlook, you will be prompted to set up an account at first login.
If you already have other email accounts setup in Outlook, you will need to add your Scouts SA account as an additional account.
Once successful, your account should be setup as shown in the image below.
On the main screen, at the top-left side, click on "File".
Click on Account Settings
When in "Account Settings", click on your emailaddress@sa.scouts.com.au to highlight then click on "Change"
Click on "More Settings" > "Advanced".
In the section that says Mailboxes, click on "Add"
Next, enter the name of the mailbox (sharedmailbox@sa.scouts.com.au) and click ok.
Next, close the page, click on "Apply", "Ok" and close the Account settings page to complete the process.
You should now restart outlook by closing the application and relaunching.
Usually, settings should take approximately 5 to 15 minutes for changes to reflect in your Outlook app.
